HAZARD
Testing has shown that the Sand Stickers contain levels of asbestos. The product presents a risk to health as the sand may be contaminated with a small quantity of asbestos. Asbestos is a banned substance because it poses a risk to health even at low levels of exposure. James Galt Ltd is therefore issuing a recall notice for this product.
WHAT TO DO
1. Stop using product immediately.
2. If the product is no longer in its original packaging or the packaging has been opened, place it in a heavy-duty plastic bag, double tape it securely, label it clearly, and store it in a secure location out of reach of children.
3. Clean sites where the product was used with a wet cloth to avoid generating dust.
4. Wear disposable gloves and a mask. Double-bag the product and any gloves, mask, and cloths used.
5. Keep children and other people away from areas where the product has been used until the area has been cleaned.
6. Return the securely sealed product to any TK Maxx or Homesense store.
7. If you are unable to return it, please follow the instructions above and contact your local authority or visit their website for guidance on the safe disposal of asbestos in your area. Please contact TKMaxx or Homesense for a refund.
